Privacy Policy for Bridges to Community

This website is owned and operated by Bridges to Community ("Bridges"). We are committed to respecting the privacy rights of all volunteers, donors, and other visitors to our website. In order to fully understand your rights we encourage you to read this Privacy Policy. The following information details Bridges' collection, protection, and use of the data we receive.

Collection of Information

Bridges does not collect personally identifiable information from individuals online unless they provide it to us voluntarily and knowingly. This means we do not require you to register or provide information to us in order to view our site. Bridges only gathers personally identifiable information, such as names, addresses, zip/postal codes, email addresses, etc., when voluntarily submitted by a visitor, as for example if you wish to receive our newsletter or you make a contribution. This information will be held in complete confidence, and we will not sell, rent or trade this information to a third party. You always have the option to remove your name from our email and regular mail lists.

Security of Credit Card Information

Protecting your credit card information is of the utmost importance to Bridges. For this reason, our online donations and payments are all handled through the third-party vendor PayPal, to take advantage of their greater security. For details on their security measures and privacy policies, please see their site. We receive from PayPal only the information required for us to note the payment or contribution you've made, which does not include your credit card number.

Payments and donations mailed to bridges are kept on file for our annual auditing procedures, but we do not maintain an active electronic copy of your credit card information.

Bridges to Community may amend this policy from time to time. If we make substantial changes in the way we use your name, address, or other information about you that you have disclosed to us, we will notify you by posting announcements on our website. Accordingly, we recommend that you check for updates to this Privacy Policy on an on-going basis. Changes were last made to this Privacy Policy on July 5, 2011.
