BTC Canada Raises $20,000 at Fourth Annual “Rock the House”
On August 21, Bridges to Community Canada successfully kicked off a five year campaign to raise one million dollars with the goal to open a completely new community in Nicaragua. For the fourth year in a row, the Canadian group hosted the fundraiser in the beautiful old barn in Dundas, Ontario with Bridges’ board member Rick Bauman and his wife Sadie Bauman organizing the benefit.
The family oriented event featured live music from Luke Doucet and Melissa McLelland as well as the appearance of musician Andrew Victoria. Approximately half the proceeds were raised by the live auction with the other half coming from ticket sales and the silent auction. Thanks to the supporters of BTC Canada, a new community of Nicaraguan families will experience a life transformation.
